Tolerating Jihad

You may or may not have heard about the Christmas day slaughter of a family in Texas, but there seems to be a wee little detail the press forgot to mention.

Meanwhile,Tim Tebow keeps getting hammered by the press because he prays during a football game.THE HORROR!!!

It almost seems like there is a pro-Islam,anti-Christian bias at work here….

That is their version of diversity and tolerance uncut, straight from the barrel.

The fourth estate is the fifth column.

Meredith Graves

image

If the people of New York City really wanted to be safe, they’d lock up Bloomberg and his District Attorneys.

We need to put a white hot spotlight on this story, and close ranks around this woman.

This cannot stand.

This is tyranny.

Team Freedom,show me something.

Update 1-2-12:

Greetings to all the readers from storify.com.

Consider the fact that Meredith harmed no one,was actively seeking to obey the law,and is now facing a felony firearms charge along with three and a half years in prison.

What did she do to deserve that, and how is this fiasco going to effect her chances for employment in the future?

All because she wanted to keep herself and family safe and abide by the law?

Comments are welcome here.

Update 3-20-12

She plead guilty to a misdemeanor and got a $200 fine.

All because she wanted to exercise her Constitutionally guaranteed right to self defense.

Sad.

Bloomberg should be ashamed of himself, but, like most tyrants,he has no shame.

I just know NYC is so much safer now.

Global bank run

Here’s a snippet…

It means that nobody’s money is safe. It means that regulators care more about protecting the so-called “Systemically Important Financial Institutions” than about protecting Ordinary Joe investors. It means that, when crunchtime comes, central banks and government regulators will allow SIFI’s to get better, and let the Ordinary Joes get fucked.

If you can’t hold it in your hand,YOU DON’T OWN IT.Get yourself out of paper assets, and into tangibles.

A silver dime in the hand is better than $1.2 million on paper when it goes KABOOM!!!

Just saying.

Read the whole thing.

Funny thing happened today

image

I was just talking to a friend the other day and she was saying that she had a couple of phone calls she received from some acquaintances that she wasn’t looking forward to returning.

I made a few choice remarks in jest that nobody cared enough to call me.(I guess I’m just a grouchy bastard like that.)

Guess what happened today?

3 phone calls today, all from friends I haven’t had contact with in at least two years…
One of them I haven’t heard from in probably four years…
2 of the 3 don’t know each other. One visiting from across the Atlantic.

Funny…

From my lips to God’s ears?Don’t know, but I’d sure like to think so…

Be careful what you say, because you never know who is listening….

The Cost

image

CA over at WRSA has a few thoughts to consider.Take the time to reflect on the truth of the matter.

The cost of Liberty has always been the same.

Lives,Fortunes, and Sacred Honor comes to my mind.

If that is too much of a price to pay, then the fight isn’t worth fighting.

If you decide that fight is worth having, you WILL be considered a murderer, terrorist, outlaw, traitor, etc.

Your friends, family, and associates will pay a price as well.

It has always been so.We should expect nothing less.

You will be vilified, maligned, made out to be a bloodthirsty baby-raper.Or worse.

Count on it.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

There is a price to pay either way.

Warning to the West

image

“It is with a strange feeling that those of us who come from the Soviet Union look upon the West of today. It is as though we were neither neighbors on the same planet nor contemporaries. And yet we contemplate the West from what will be your future,or we look back 70 years to see our past suddenly repeating itself today. And what we see is always the same as it was then:adults deferring to the opinion of their children;the younger generation carried away by shallow, worthless ideas; professors scared of being unfashionable;journalists refusing to take responsibility for the words they squander so easily;universal sympathy for revolutionary extremists;people with serious objections unable or unwilling to voice them;the majority passively obsessed by a feeling of doom;feeble governments;societies whose defensive reactions have become paralyzed; spiritual confusion leading to political upheaval. What will happen as a result of all this lies ahead of us.But the time is near, and from bitter memory we can easily predict what these events will be.”

“We are all, each in his own way, bound together by a common fate,by the same bands of iron. And all of us are standing on the brink of a great historical cataclysm,a flood that swallows up civilization and changes whole epochs. The present world situation is complicated still more by the fact that several hours have struck simultaneously on the clock of history. We all must face up to a crisis—not just a social crisis, not just a political crisis, not just a military crisis—face up to it,but also stand firm in this great upheaval,an upheaval similar to that which marked the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.Just as mankind once became aware of the intolerable and mistaken deviation of the late Middle Ages and recoiled in horror from it,so too must we take account of the disastrous deviation of the late Enlightenment. We have become hopelessly enmeshed in our slavish worship of all that is pleasant, all that is comfortable, all that is material—we worship things,we worship products.

Will we ever succeed in shaking off this burden,in giving free rein to the spirit that was breathed into us at birth, that spirit which distinquishes us from the animal world?”

Alexander Solzhenitsyn

March 24 1976

Sound familiar?Good thing the horrors of totalitarian collectivist regimes could never happen here…

Quote of the day

image

You imagine you see danger in other parts of the world and so you hurl the arrows from your depleted quiver there. But the greatest danger of all is that you have lost the will to defend yourself.”
