Words of wisdom

Not long ago it was easy to tell who the bad guys were. They carried Kalashnikovs. Now it is much more complicated, but one thing is sure – any man who covers his face and packs a gun is a legitimate target for any decent citizen. – Jeff Cooper

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

I disagree, not in all circumstances. What about Mexican government agents fighting the cartels? They have to protect their identities because retribution against their families is inevitable if they show their faces. There are probably more examples.

    • You have more to fear from an unchecked government than from criminal gangs.I believe the 20th century bears that out in stark detail.

I would like to add that the cartels are empowered by government regulations. We don’t see Pfizer and Merck slaughtering innocents in the street because they have legal recourse in court, however imperfect that may be.
Furthermore, these people have been disarmed by their government, rendering them all but helpless against those same cartels. If those people would have the means if resistance available to them,I think the cost would be much lower,at least for the common person.
The blame for this continuing carnage lies at the feet of those that think government diktat can solve problems.

    • It’s pretty obvious Col. Cooper was referring to the US.

And yes – I’d have to say that IN THE US, if he’s hiding behind a mask it’s because he OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF WHAT HE’S DOING!

Whether he’s robbing a bank, burning a cross, or stomping kittens/shooting dogs/murdering Marines in front of their children in their own home, he’s a miscreant and deserves whatever he gets.
